Project Scope

This homeowner in Chester, SC wanted to go completely off-grid. In other words, he needed a substantial PV solar system that could keep the power running. After analyzing his space and needs, the Alder Energy solar specialists recommended a system comprised of 52 Canadian Solar 320 watt panels with SolarEdge invertors and DC optimizers for enhanced output.

Installation & Results

The 16.64 kW residential solar system was installed in June, 2016. The 52 panels were installed in a consolidated array in an open field on the homeowner’s property. So far, the homeowner is on track to produce 25,000 kWh annually. This is more than enough to fully power the home, leading to a 100 percent reduction of his electric bill.
