The SC Biz News Roaring Twenties winners include Charleston based solar firm
Charleston, SC, November 9, 2018 – Coming off the biggest year ever for U.S. solar installations, local installer Alder Energy Systems is proud to be named one of the fastest growing small businesses in South Carolina by SC Biz News.
The Roaring Twenties winner list is developed by SC Biz News to recognize the 40 fastest growing companies in South Carolina. Announced annually, the Roaring Twenties list celebrates the twenty fastest growing large companies and the 20 fastest growing small companies in an array of fields. Winners are chosen and ranked according to growth and revenue. Company size is determined by gross revenue — small, $10 million or less; large, more than $10 million. Small companies must have had revenue of at least $500,000 each year for three years. A formula awarded points based on dollar and percentage increases in revenue generated from S.C. operations from 2016 to 2017. This formula was used to create a level playing field among smaller and larger companies within the categories. Accounting firm Cherry Bekaert analyzed and verified the results.
