KION North America boasts 1.257 Megawatt of clean renewable energy
Summerville, SC, May 30, 2018 – Alder Energy Systems LLC, a trusted South Carolina turnkey solar provider, is pleased to announce the completion of the KION North America manufacturing plant rooftop and ground mount solar array. The installation utilizes 3,643 solar panels which produce over 1,804 MWH annually of clean renewable energy. This annual energy production will offset around 80 percent of the annual energy consumption of all operations at the facility. The installation will also offset the equivalent of 2.08 million pounds of carbon dioxide emissions and generate enough energy to power 133 homes.

KION North America is located off of U.S. 78 in Summerville and is a member of the KION GROUP AG, one of the world’s two leading manufacturers of industrial trucks.

KION North America also celebrated 831 accident-free working days on May 24. This is the second time in two years KION has won the Global Safety Award.
