Are you a landowner interested in leasing your land for solar? Alder Energy Systems (AES) can help guide you through the considerations for transforming your land into a sustainable source of long-term income.
What is Community Solar? Community solar arrays, also referred to as solar farms, provide access to a renewable energy program that benefits the community in multiple ways, including saving on energy bills, creating jobs and providing clean energy that reduces harmful carbon emissions. Households and businesses can participate without installing panels on their rooftops or property. A community solar farm provides electricity that is shared by multiple households and businesses. The public is offered an option to participate in the program and enjoy the benefits of paying a lower price for their electricity.
How long has Alder Energy Systems, LLC been in business? Alder Energy Systems has been specializing in the planning, design, and installation of solar PV energy systems for homes, businesses, development, and utility since 2008.
How do the lease payments work? Lease payments are paid in advance on an annual basis.
Can I renew at the end of the lease? At the end of 25 years, the lease can be renewed in 5-year periods for up to an additional 10 years.
How large are the solar panels? Panels usually stand 5’ to 8’ off the ground.
How long does it take to complete the project? The completion time varies due to issues that might arise such as permitting, weather, etc. Most projects take between 6 and 9 months to complete.
Are there concerns about Electromagnetic Fields? Electromagnetic fields (EMF) are a normal part of life in the modern world. Solar farms generate EMF in the same frequency range as electrical appliances and wiring found in most homes and buildings. Cell phones, radios and microwaves produce a higher EMF than solar panels.
