Master PV Electrician

The Master PV Electrician will be responsible for the photovoltaic electrical system installation from beginning to end. In this position, the electrician will install all necessary parts and equipment using the industry’s best practices and complete knowledge of the NEC codes and standards. They will ensure successful operation of the complete photovoltaic system, while proficiently communicating and updating project status with management. This is an outdoor position requiring work on elevated roofs and ladders, in harnesses, in potentially inclement weather, throughout the year.

PV Field Technician

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducting on-site routine maintenance, service, trouble shooting and repair of solar photovoltaic facilities
  • DC and AC testing included but not limited to polarity, open circuit voltage, grounding continuity, communication, insulation resistance testing, I-V curve tracing
  • Maintaining the vehicle, tools, meters and truck stock
  • Creating service reports and maintaining spare parts inventory
  • Identify safety hazards and take appropriate action to remove or eliminate hazards
  • Create operability and major issue / downtime reports

ESSENTIAL KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:

The Solar PV Installer L2 is responsible for supporting all aspects of PV project installation. Level 2 is expected to be able to lead a crew of 2-4 installers in the absence of the Crew Chief / Assistant CC. On-the-job training will be provided.
